Plane Hijackers Kidnap Passengers

A Colombian airliner with 46 people aboard was hijacked by suspected Marxist rebels who forced it to land on a remote airstrip and kidnapped all the passengers and crew, authorities said. The Avianca Fokker-50 disappeared from radar screens minutes after taking off from Bucaramanga. When the plane landed in Bolivar province, fatigue-clad gunmen swarmed around it.
