Microsemi Finishes Buying Linfinity

Microsemi Corp. said it has completed its acquisition of Garden Grove-based Linfinity Microelectronics Inc. from its parent, Symmetricom Corp. for $24.1 million.

Linfinity, which had sales of about $45 million in the most recent 12-month period, makes integrated circuits that manage the power used by consumer electronics.

Microsemi, a semiconductor firm based in Santa Ana, expects to record a third-quarter charge of $2 million and $2.5 million in connection with the acquisition.
