Computers Back Up at Weapons Labs

Computers at the country’s three national weapons labs were placed back on line after workers underwent two weeks of security training. The shutdown was ordered April 2 for computers involved in secure work at Los Alamos National Laboratory in northern New Mexico, Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. New procedures should make classified data harder to transfer to unauthorized areas.
