Seeing Age Bias While Shopping

Share

* As a 50-plus woman with a large disposable income and a portfolio that exceeds those of most 25-year-olds, I am one of those people Abercrombie & Fitch has targeted as undesirable [“Store Most Likely to Succeed: A&F;,” April 3].

My first experience in their Glendale store resulted in my husband purchasing several items; however, it was not a pleasant experience.

My second foray into their store resulted in my being totally ignored. I therefore went to the old standbys, Gap and Banana Republic, to purchase gifts for my daughter and friends. After reading your article, I definitely will never go to that store again. It’s hard enough getting older without a store discriminating against you.
