A Brush With Beauty

Kudos to Patt Morrison for profiling Ellen Easton (“A Den Mother to the Artists of ‘Wild California,’ ” SoCal P.O.V., March 14), who is an inspiration to many plein-air artists today, including some who do not reside in Santa Barbara.

Easton--a charming hostess, a true environmentalist and a sure conservationist at heart--has been a guardian angel for those in the Oak Group of Santa Barbara, sponsoring their exhibits and making the public aware of the beauty of the landscape through the eyes of the painter.
