Teenagers as young as 14 can help out their city this summer by joining the Volunteen program. Teenagers are asked to commit from 90 to 160 hours over the summer, working with the city’s Community Services Department. Everyone who completes the program will be recognized by the City Council and rewarded with a small stipend. The deadline to apply is Friday; applications are available at the Community Center, at Madison Way and Randolph Avenue, or by calling (714) 990-7160.
