ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

SM&A; Corp.: The Newport Beach provider of management proposal services posted record net income and revenue for the first quarter. Net income advanced 76% to $3 million, or 18 cents a share, from $1.7 million, or 12 cents a share, for the same period of 1998. Revenue more than doubled to $25.3 million from $10.7 million.
