Estancia 1, University 0--Joanna Danner (11-5) pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Stephanie Cachola had two hits and scored the game’s only run for Estancia (11-5, 3-1).

In the Century League:

No. 1 Foothill 6, Santa Ana Valley 0--Courtney Fossatti (14-1) pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and she also had two hits and two runs scored for visiting Foothill (21-3, 4-0).

El Modena 6, Canyon 1 (8)--Lisa Schlueter singled to drive in Heather Krumpols for the winning run. Erin Norton gave up two singles and struck out six for El Modena (13-8, 3-1).

Orange 1, Villa Park 0 (16)--Kimi Boyce scored on a base hit by Crystal Zboril with one out in the 16th and starter Wendi Kralich struck out 11 in a complete game. Catcher Janice Hall played the entire game despite breaking her middle finger in the ninth.

In the Empire League:

Kennedy 3, No. 7 El Dorado 1--Lorraine Geiger’s two-run double highlighted a three-run sixth inning for Kennedy (12-6, 4-0).

Century 2, Cypress 1 (8)--Veronica Sanchez scored the winning run on Natalie Castro’s single in the bottom of the eighth inning.

In the Freeway League:

Troy 2, Fullerton 0--Sophia Reynolds hit the only extra base hit of the game, a doubled in the sixth to drive in a run for Troy (14-7, 2-2).

Sunny Hills 1, Sonora 0 (10)--In the 10th inning, Katie Monken bunted pinch runner Lori Jarman to second. Jarman tried for third on the play and scored after an errant throw. Sunny (12-6, 3-1) moved into a tie for first with Sonora.

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 1, Cerritos Valley Christian 0--Laura Miklos (three for three) scored in the third inning on throwing error. Jessica Edwards (10-3) struck out 14 and walked one in a one-hitter for Orange Lutheran (19-4, 7-0).

In the Sunset League:

No. 2 Fountain Valley 2, Edison 0--Colleen Burdick had seven strikeouts for Fountain Valley (16-6, 4-0). Christina Skaggs had an RBI single in the fifth to extend the Fountain Valley lead to 2-0. Edison is 8-13, 2-2.
