YORBA LINDA
D.D. Hardware owner Reza Vazirian says he plans to close shop because he cannot afford to build a wall that the City Council required as a condition of his permit to operate a U-Haul rental business from his store; the council said the wall was needed to hide the trucks from passersby on Fairmont Avenue. He had until 5 p.m. last Tuesday to submit plans for construction. Vazirian, who says the city is not being reasonable with small-business owners, will not only remove the trucks, he will close the 17-year-old hardware store, at 19713 Yorba Linda Blvd.
