BUENA PARK
The Beautification-Environmental Commission, Public Works Department and Park Disposal Inc. will host a free Spring Cleanup on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents can dispose of scrap metal, old appliances, furniture, tree stumps and yard trimmings too large for regular trash pickups. They can also bring oil in plastic 1-gallon containers, used oil filters in double wrapped plastic resealable bags, oily rags and auto batteries to the Sears parking lot at the Buena Park Mall. Free mulch will be available to those who bring bags or containers.
Proof of city residency is required; residents can show a water bill stub, a driver’s license or a special Clean Sweep coupon available from the Public Works Department, 8071 Page St. Information: (714) 562-3651.
