Stanton Parts Maker Bought by Eastern Firm

Standard Automotive Corp., a maker of trailer chassis, bought a Stanton company and three other firms for an undisclosed amount to produce parts for aerospace and nuclear power companies.

The newly acquired businesses, which have total annual revenue of $41 million, include All Metals Processing, a Stanton-based aircraft parts maker.

The acquisitions also include Ranor Inc., a Westfield, Mass.-based aerospace and nuclear industry parts maker; Smith Machine Works Inc., an aerospace parts producer near Wichita, Kan., and Olympia Tool & Engineering Inc., a Seattle-area manufacturer of parts for aircraft and nuclear power companies.

Standard Automotive, which is based in New Jersey, formed a specialty parts subsidiary, Critical Components Corp., to manage its new business line.
