Supermodel Casta on Call

Share

Having a supermodel whisper sweet nothings in your ear in the morning is no longer a fantasy.

In September, a company called YourDay.com plans to debut a free service in which Victoria’s Secret model Laetitia Casta--or perhaps soul singer Barry White--will stir you from slumber almost anywhere in the world with a recorded wake-up phone call. YourDay can also serve as your automated personal secretary, reminding you of appointments via e-mail, pager or telephone.

You simply set up a calendar at https://www.yourday.com and instruct the system on when to awaken you or remind you of engagements. For phone alerts, one of Casta’s generic greetings will be followed by a computer-generated voice message (converted from the text you type in) or your own voice, which you can prerecord to be delivered later.

Each calendar is private and is also accessible via palm pilot or toll-free telephone number when you’re away from home or office. Casta was hired after YourDay conducted a survey and found that 90% of men liked the idea of being awakened by a supermodel. But women need not feel left out, says company Chief Executive Sid Wilroy. YourDay’s Web site is running an online poll asking which male voice people would like to hear when receiving a telephone reminder: Sean Connery, Will Smith, Mel Gibson, Barry White, Ricky Martin, Mike Myers, Ben Affleck or Jim Carrey.
