New CFO for Dabney Flanigan

* Carol Olson has joined Dabney Flanigan, a Los Angeles-based investment banking and brokerage firm, as its chief financial officer and chief compliance officer. She previously worked as manager of clearing operations at Wilshire Associates Inc.

* Harold McIntire, president of Ralphs Grocery Co.’s Food 4 Less Warehouse Store division, will retire Sept. 30. He will be succeeded by Dave Hirz, Food 4 Less group vice president of store operations. McIntire, 53, a 39-year grocery business veteran, was appointed Food 4 Less president in 1996. Los Angeles-based Ralphs is a division of Fred Meyer Inc., one of the largest supermarket chains in the U.S. Meyer is being acquired by Kroger Co.

* Excellon Automation, a Torrance-based maker of printed circuit board drilling systems, has promoted its president, Richard C. Pinto, to chief executive. Pinto will focus largely on strategic planning and acquisitions. Succeeding him as president is Richard C. Tippett. The company also announced a reorganization of its business into four separate units.

* Douglas West has been named senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. in Torrance.

* FasTV.com, a Los Angeles-based company that allows users to search for video footage over the Internet, has appointed Randy K. Freedman vice president of business and international affairs. He will be responsible for the acquisition of programming as well as for the licensing of content and technology with international companies. Most recently he served as chief executive of TransGlobal Associates, an Internet and new-media consulting firm.
