Interactive Network Systems, a subsidiary of Coyote Network Systems in Westlake Village, said it will expand its international long distance services to offer wholesale private line services to Thailand.

INET primarily provides retail international long distance services to affinity groups such as French- and Japanese-speaking people in the United States. The company, which is based in Los Angeles, was acquired by Coyote last year.

“As part of Coyote Network Systems, we are now in a position where we can accelerate our marketing strategies to broaden our customer base, open new markets and extend our international operations,” said INET President Claude Buchert.

Daniel W. Latham, president and chief operating officer of Coyote Network Systems, said a fundamental component of the company’s strategy for growth will be to provide telecom switching equipment, affinity-based international long distance and network services to entrepreneurial carriers.

“We believe our focus on affinity-based carriers such as INET should yield positive results in creating synergies and generating increased revenues and profits.” Latham said.

“Affinity-based carriers typically experience stronger customer allegiance, primarily due to focused marketing efforts and stronger customer service.”
