Franklin Telecom Finishes Telephony Network Job

Franklin Telecom in Westlake Village announced it has completed the first installation of its IP Telephony Network.

The purchaser was Cypress, Calif.-based Star Network & Telecommunications, which is establishing offices in several parts of the world.

Star Network purchased Tempest System products, a family of products based around the Tempest Data Voice Gateway, which facilitates telephone calls over an Internet or intranet connection.

The agreement between Franklin and Star Network was broadened to include all design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance and management of the network, making Star Network Franklin’s second complete turnkey customer.

A second installation of Franklin’s network is underway in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the company also announced.

Franklin Telecom has been designing and manufacturing communications hardware and software for 19 years.
