A 16-year-old Chinese girl in this country to study has been missing since Wednesday, when she went with a group to Universal Studios, the sheriff’s department reported.

Yia Lin was supposed to have met fellow members of the Rancho Cucamonga-based Council For Educational Travel USA at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the gate of the park, said Lt. Brad Welker of the sheriff’s West Hollywood station.

The student group had gone to Universal about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

“There is no indication of foul play,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Ken Leffler. “After searching the grounds numerous times, they just searched the hillsides around Universal and found nothing suspicious.”
