GARDEN GROVE
Work crews will install a fiber optic underground traffic signal conduit in Garden Grove Boulevard, between Brookhurst and Dale streets, under a plan approved recently by the City Council. The project will eliminate the need for leased telephone lines, saving the city about $5,000 a year in telephone charges. Money for the project will come from Measure M funds, the half-cent sales tax for road improvements approved by county voters in 1990.
