Radiant Names Szilagyi to Engineer Post
* Andrei Szilagyi has been named director of engineering and chief technologist for Radiant Technology Corp. in Fullerton. Szilagyi was previously director, systems laboratory, for Aura Systems Inc. in El Segundo. He also has worked at Hughes Aircraft, Santa Barbara Research Center in Goleta and Honeywell Electro-Optics division in Lexington, Mass.
* Peter Kote has been appointed estate and planning gifts officer for the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross. He was formerly senior director of estate planning and gifts for Cal State Long Beach, and before that was director of development and director of planned gifts for the Western region for Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home.
* Stephanie Curry has been named assistant vice president in the annuities division of Pacific Life Insurance Co. in Newport Beach. She had been director, advanced marketing. Paul Hikichi was appointed assistant vice president, risk management, in the securities division. He joined Pacific Life as an investment research analyst. Peter Pastre moves from government relations director to assistant vice president, government relations.
* Mitchell Lucero has joined Kaufman Meeks and Partners Inc. in Newport Beach as director of graphic design. He was formerly a freelance architectural illustrator for 12 years and an adjunct teacher of art at Cal State Fullerton. Charles Addington was named senior designer, and Don Ruthroff was appointed director of single family production.
* Scott Frisbie has been elected to a one-year term as president of the McDonald’s Operator’s Assn. of Southern California. Frisbie’s family owns 14 McDonald’s restaurants in Orange County.
* Thomas Beckwith has been elected chairman of the board of directors for the Saddleback Memorial Foundation, the fund-raising arm of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills. Before retiring in 1986, Beckwith and his wife owned and operated Beckwith Antiques and Art and Estate Sales, as well as Beckwith Commercial Properties in Redlands, San Bernardino and Colton.
