Prison Phones

Share

* I have a simple solution to the “problem” of prisoners using telephones to commit crimes (“Prisoners Use Pay Phones to Plan Crimes, Study Finds,” Aug. 13).

Take away their telephones. That form of communication is a privilege. The Bill of Rights doesn’t mention telephones. Let prisoners exercise their 1st Amendment rights by writing letters. When military personnel have no “constitutional right” to telephone access, how is it that convicted felons do?
