ANAHEIM
The Public Utilities Department has announced that all of its systems necessary to deliver water and power to residents and business are Y2K-ready. For two years, the department has participated in a citywide effort to find ways to prevent Y2K problems. The department reviewed more than 100 facilities, updated contingency plans and engaged in national drills that simulated communications failures.
