PerfectData Reports Sales Increase but Net Loss

PerfectData Corp. in Simi Valley reported that net sales for the quarter ended June 30 rose approximately 16%, to $524,000 from $452,000 a year earlier.

Despite that, the company showed a net loss of $71,000 or 2 cents per share, almost identical to last year’s report of a $72,000 loss, which also came to 2 cents per share.

Since the close of last quarter, the company has retained Hudson Consulting Group to assist in acquisitions and mergers. PerfectData’s management is in discussions with potential merger and joint venture entities and continues to seek strategic growth opportunities.

PerfectData designs computer, office care and maintenance products and accessories.

The company holds modest stakes in Flamemaster Corp., El Guapo Spices and Staruni, an Internet service and commerce provider.
