BUENA PARK
The Parks and Recreation Commission and the city will host the 16th annual Memorial Grove ceremony at 11 a.m. Sept. 25 at Boisseranc Park, 7520 Dale St. The ceremony is dedicated to people who have made significant contributions of time and service to the community.
This time around, the ceremony will honor Harold Duff, a former parks and recreation commissioner and traffic commissioner, as well as a volunteer to numerous organizations. A 65-year resident of the city, Duff died in 1992. A memorial plaque will be unveiled and a tree will be planted in Duff’s honor.
