Villa Park High School has been chosen to receive up to $620,000 to become a “digital high school,” according to Principal Fran Roney. Roney said the school will participate in the third of four phases of the state-funded program, which began in 1997 and is expected to encompass all California high schools by the end of 2001.

The money will be used to provide the school with computers, Internet access in every classroom and teacher training so that students can achieve computer literacy and improve performance in all subjects.
