A group that provides education and support services for Ventura County residents with HIV and AIDS has been awarded a $4,000 grant.

AIDS Care Inc. is among 64 nonprofit agencies statewide that received grants from managed health care provider Kaiser Permanente, said Kaiser spokeswoman Lisa Kort.

The grant will pay for an estimated seven months’ worth of food and household goods for the 102 county residents currently using the organization’s food bank, according to officials.
