Ventura County Roundup : THOUSAND OAKS : Governor, Senators Expected at Picnic
Ventura County Democrats will honor America’s working families at a Labor Day picnic planned next Monday at Conejo Creek Park.
Gov. Gray Davis, U.S. Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, Rep. Brad Sherman and various city and county officials are among those invited, said Hank Lacayo, chairman of the Ventura County Democratic Central Committee.
The organization requests $12 donations for adults and $5 donations for children ages 6 to 12 for the picnic, which is expected to last from noon to 4 p.m. Call 498-7679 for reservations or information.
