Thanks to a city-funded arterial street reconstruction program, about one mile of Harbor Boulevard, from Bastanchury Road to Las Palmas Drive, will undergo a face lift.
Damaged curbs, gutters and sidewalks will be repaired starting in early October. Part of the reconstruction includes the replacement of ficus trees with 78 holly oaks after city officials noted that sidewalks and curbs were being damaged by the growth of ficus tree roots. The $1-million reconstruction project is slated to be completed by December.
