Revlon Inc., the cosmetics maker controlled by financier Ronald Perelman, said Kathy Dwyer, president of its U.S. consumer products division, plans to resign. Dwyer joined Revlon in its marketing department in 1993 from Clairol Inc., and helped to revive Revlon’s U.S. business by introducing many products.

* British Aerospace has renamed itself BAE Systems after completing the purchase of General Electric Co.’s Marconi Electronic Systems unit. BAE Systems will be the world’s No. 2 defense company after Lockheed Martin Corp. In a separate action, Lockheed agreed to sell its Hanford waste-management unit to CH2M Hill Cos., in the first of several planned divestitures. The price was not disclosed. Hanford has an Energy Department contract valued at $325 million for fiscal 2000 to manage the disposal of 54 million gallons of radioactive waste in Richland, Wash.

* Travel agents are suing Delta Air Lines Inc., claiming the carrier wrongly cut fees they are paid for each ticket sold, Delta said, adding that it disputes the allegation. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Delta said the suit alleges that the airlines “tortiously interfered” with the prospective contractual relationship between the travel agents and customers, engaged in unfair competition and conspired to restrain trade.

* Lazard Freres & Co. said Vernon E. Jordan Jr. will join the investment banking partnership as a senior managing director, effective Jan. 1. Lazard said Jordan, a friend of President Clinton who was a key figure in Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr’s investigation of the president, will work with clients globally.
