“A ’96 Longoria Cabernet Franc ‘Blues Cuvee.’ I had it at the Hitching Post (restaurant) in Buellton with a steak for a celebration at the end of harvest. It had all sorts of perfumes, especially violets and blackberries. It was generous and well-built. Usually Cabernet Francs are sort of brawny, but this had a good mouth-feel and beautiful fruit flavors.”
