Analyst Predicts Another Interest Hike

Interest rates might climb higher, according to a bond expert at Newport Beach-based Pimco Advisors.
Brian Baker, chief executive at the Asia branch of Pimco’s Pacific Investment Management Co., predicted that the Federal Reserve, which hiked rates three times this year, will act again in early 2000.
Baker said he expects the 30-year Treasury yield to peak at 6.5%, up from its recent average of 6.14%.
