Militia Head Jailed on Bomb Plot Charges

From Times Wire Reports

A Florida militia leader was arrested in Tampa and charged with plotting to blow up a nuclear plant and other energy facilities, the FBI and the U.S. attorney’s office said. Donald Beauregard, 31, of St. Petersburg was indicted by a U.S. grand jury on six counts, including conspiracy to damage government property, destroy energy facilities and provide material support or resources to terrorists. The indictment said Beauregard is a leader of the Southeastern States Alliance. It alleges he planned to steal explosives from National Guard armories to use in destroying the nuclear plant at Crystal River and others.
