Bergen Brunswig Unit Lands New Client

Pharmaceuticals distributor Bergen Brunswig Corp. said Friday that its Bergen Brunswig Drug Co. unit will be the primary supplier to 200 Fred’s Inc. pharmacies in the Southeast. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Orange-based Bergen Brunswig said the agreement also begins a partnership through which Fred’s will expand its electronic-commerce pharmaceutical operations, as well as its mail-order and Internet pharmacy business.
