Wal-Mart Backers to Launch Campaign

The citizens group Save Our City is launching a campaign to defeat Measure J, an initiative that would prevent the Crest View school site from being leased to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
The formal launching of the campaign will take place today at 9:30 a.m. in the Waterfront Hilton, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.
Tracy Pellman, Ocean View School District trustee, will answer questions and explain why the group supports the lease of the site to Wal-Mart. Measure J will be on the March ballot.
