The Cooper Cos. said Tuesday that its diagnostic products subsidiary has agreed to pay $10 million in cash to buy certain assets of a Florida manufacturer of precision medical instruments for the women’s health-care market.

The Irvine health-care products maker said its CooperSurgical unit in Shelton, Conn., will buy the assets, which generate $11 million in annual sales, from Leisegang Medical in Boca Raton, a subsidiary of NetOptix Corp. in Sturbridge, Mass.

Cooper said in a press release that it expects to close the deal next month. Its stock closed Tuesday at $27.88 a share, up 25 cents on the New York Stock Exchange.

Last week, CooperSurgical acquired a line of women’s health-care products from BEI Medical Systems. With both purchases, the subsidiary’s annual revenue is expected to exceed $50 million, the company said.
