Dell Computer Corp. is joining with an Austin, Texas-based communications firm to launch All.com, an online technical support company that links troubled computer users with automated online help or a technician. Officials at Dell and Motive Communications refused to announce financial details about the deal, including how much of a stake Dell has in the new company. The service is targeted to home and small-business customers and will be available in January, officials said. Also starting next year, Dell will equip all its personal computers with a button that will allow customers to connect online with Dell technicians. The company already offers such “e-support” through its server. Shares of Dell closed at $43.19, up $2.13 on Nasdaq.
