Mount Named Senior VP at Edison Unit

* Larry C. Mount, general counsel of Edison Capital in Irvine, has been elected senior vice president, effective Jan. 1. Mount joined Edison Capital in 1995 as senior counsel and was later named vice president and general counsel. Before joining the company, Mount was a partner at McDermott & Trayner and an attorney with Southern California Edison. Edison Capital is a subsidiary of Edison International.

* Charlie Bunten has joined Ebuilt Inc. in Irvine as president and chief operating officer. Bunten was previously with Lucent Technologies and its former parent, AT&T;, for 31 years, where he served in a variety of operations positions. His most recent position was area vice president and general manager of Lucent Technologies.

* Yvonne Phillips has joined Wells Fargo as a trust officer in the private client services office in Newport Beach. Previously, she was an associate trust officer for Merrill Lynch Trust Co. in the Los Angeles office.

* Jack M. Kline has been appointed president of Christie Inc. in Cypress, a manufacturer and distributor of theater projection equipment. He had been chief operating officer and executive vice president.

* Doug Antone has joined Who?Vision, a Lake Forest fingerprint identification technology company, as chief executive. He succeeds Alex Dickinson, who becomes executive chairman. Antone had been president of Ingram Micro’s Frameworks division and president of the Ingram Alliance division. Before that, he was senior vice president of worldwide sales, service and marketing for Borland International.

* Earl Malit has been named president of HNC Insurance Solutions in Irvine, the insurance industry division of HNC Software. Before joining the company, he was vice president of business planning at Sega of America. Malit has also held product marketing and business and sales analyst positions at Compaq, Epson and Mattel.

* Robert J. Blattenberg has been elected president and chief executive of Ringler Associates in Newport Beach, effective Jan. 1. He also will become a member of the board of directors. He succeeds Paul Hoffman, who will continue as chairman. Blattenberg, who joined Ringler in 1983, is currently chief financial officer. In addition, Steve Cochran of the Indianapolis office and William Goodman of the Pittsburgh office were added to the board.

* Angela Abshier has been appointed director of corporate marketing at the Festival Cos. in Buena Park. She will oversee all corporate marketing and advertising, in addition to her responsibilities as director of marketing for the Buena Park Mall.

* Steven Kotler has joined the board of directors of ColumbusNewport LLC, an e-commerce merchant banking and business services company in Irvine. He is co-chairman of Schroder & Co., an investment banking firm.

* Richard Wolpow has been named director of business development for Thehealthchannel.com in Newport Beach. Larry Ynfante has been appointed director of sales and marketing for business-to-business medical services and products. Both have been consultants with Thehealthchannel.com for the past six months.

* Ken Conway has joined Nexgenix Inc. in Irvine as analyst relations manager. He previously held a similar position at Compaq Computer Corp. Before joining Compaq, Conway was director of service marketing and new business development at Modular Computer Corp. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

* Sam Inman III has joined the advisory board of CentralXchange in Mission Viejo, an online auction site. Inman is co-chief executive of Viking Components. Before joining Viking, Inman was chief executive of Centura Software Corp. and president and chief operating officer of Ingram Micro Inc. He also served as president of IBM’s Personal Computer Co. for the Americas.

* Jim Fisher has joined the Coco’s and Carrows restaurant chains as vice president of marketing. Fisher was formerly with the schools division of Sodexho Marriott Services, where he was vice president of marketing and product development. Previously, he held senior marketing positions at Cracker Barrel, Bakers Square, Shakey’s and Pizza Hut.
