Pioneer Middle School students will no longer be called the Pioneer Pioneers on Pioneer Road since the Tustin Unified School District board last week granted the students’ wish to change their mascot to the Wildcats. The “Pioneer” mascot name was too repetitive for many students at the new school, which opened last fall.
