* Stater Bros. Holdings Inc., Colton-based operator of Stater Bros. markets, reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $18.2 million compared with net income of $1.1 million a year ago. The loss was attributed to integration expenses associated with its purchase of 43 Albertson’s supermarkets in August. Sales rose 15% to a record $505.8 million.

* Torrance-based Summa Industries, a maker of industrial plastics, reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $1.6 million, or 35 cents a share, compared with $1.4 million, or 32 cents, a year ago. Sales rose to $28.6 million.

* Carson-based Leiner Health Products Inc., a maker of nutritional supplements under the brand name Your Life, among others, said it has completed the purchase of most of the assets of Granutec Inc., a subsidiary of Novopharm Ltd. of Ontario, Canada, making it the second-largest U.S. supplier of private-label, over-the-counter nutritional supplements.
