Learn to prepare a soothing, warm meal during the winter with a city-sponsored Cold Weather Cooking class Jan. 17. The meal will consist of tortellini and spinach soup with Parmesan, mixed sausage ragout with feta cheese topping, mashed potatoes with garlic and olive oil and poached pear tart with hazelnut crust. The class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at A Store for Cooks, 30100 Town Center Drive, Laguna Niguel. The cost $23. Register through City Hall at (949) 707-2600.
