Alyn to Announce Brooks as New CFO

Alyn Corp. said it plans to name Ray Brooks chief financial officer in January. He most recently was chief financial officer and administration director at Rohm Electronics USA LLC, a Nashville electronics components company.

Richard Little, Alyn’s current chief financial officer, may become a consultant to the company, a spokesman said Thursday.

Irvine-based Alyn, which makes Boralyn, a metal matrix composite material, said it aims for cash flow to break even in calendar 2000 as it obtains certain quality control certifications that will allow it to raise production.

Among other items discussed at a recent annual meeting, the company said it would be “unreasonable” to maintain its computer disk program, which hasn’t been able to reach price targets.
