* Dow Jones & Co. said it plans to sell the business that publishes Investment Advisor, Asset Management and Property magazines and the newsletter Realty Stock Review to Wicks Business Information. Terms were not disclosed, but Dow Jones said it expected to record a gain on the sale at the closing, expected next month. Dow Jones, which publishes the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and SmartMoney, is selling the magazines as part of a program to divest noncore assets.

* Leprino Foods Co., a Denver-based maker of cheese and other dairy products, has agreed to build a $150-million factory in Lemoore, in Central California. When completed in 2002, the facility will be one of the largest mozzarella cheese factories in the world, employing 400, the state’s Trade and Commerce Agency said. State and local Kings County officials worked at persuading Leprino to choose the Lemoore site over a competing location in Idaho by offering a number of tax incentives and inducements. Those included the site’s location, which is a state-approved Enterprise Zone.

* Papa John’s International Inc. said Chief Operating Officer Wade Oney is resigning from the pizza chain, though he’ll remain as a franchisee of 30 locations. The company said it hasn’t decided whether to name a successor to Oney. Lou DiFazio, vice president of operations, will oversee corporate operations, reporting to President and Vice Chairman Blaine Hurst.
