Share

NovaStor Corp. in Simi Valley will offer a free 24-hour Y2K support service to its customers between New Year’s Eve and Monday.

“We at NovaStor are committed to ensuring that our customers will continue to do business after the New Year,” said NovaStor President Peter Means.

NovaStor is recommending that companies make full backups of their computer systems just prior to the end of 1999. For critical systems, a copy should be stored at an alternate location. For nonstop computer systems, an additional incremental backup should be completed before midnight Friday.

NovaStor also recommends that companies continue to perform comprehensive backups for several weeks after Jan. 1 to ensure that there are no unforeseen Y2K problems in their hardware or software that can affect their data.

NovaStor develops data protection and disaster recovery software for Windows 9x/NT, NetWare and Linux.
