The City Council recently approved an extension for the cleanup of the remaining construction debris from homes destroyed in a 1997 fire. Council members originally gave property owners an Oct. 31, 1998, deadline to remove debris from the damaged parcels, but that has been extended to Nov. 30, 2000, to accommodate the property owners.
