Professionals Is Bought

A Virginia information technology consulting firm has bought an Orange County rival and another California firm in all-cash deals, the companies said Monday.

Metro Information Services Inc. is acquiring Irvine-based The Professionals Computer Management Consultants and Krystal Solutions of San Bruno for undisclosed amounts.

Together, the two acquired companies will add 150 consultants to Metro, which in the last two months has bought two other California consulting firms and opened a Portland office.

It is unlikely that there will be any large layoffs in the near term from the acquisitions, Metro officials said.
