Pond Receives Team’s Proposal

Share

The Arrowhead Pond’s deadline for proposals to place a professional roller hockey team in the facility this summer came and went Monday with only a single taker--and it wasn’t the Bullfrogs.

Pond General Manager Tim Ryan would not say who submitted the proposal, but he called it “a very professional proposal.”

“We are evaluating it and ready to move on to the next step,” Ryan said. “We are at the point of negotiating a lease.”

Major League Roller Hockey President Bill Raue said the bidder is an Orange County investment group that intends to have the team play in MLRH.

Bullfrog owner Maury Silver said he still believes his financially strapped team will play somewhere in Anaheim this season for Roller Hockey International. Silver said he never took the Pond’s deadline seriously but would call Ryan today.
