LA PALMA
City Councilwoman Eva Miner Bradford will resign by the end of the month because she and her husband, Stewart, are becoming Mormon missionaries. Bradford told her colleagues Tuesday night that she would miss them but was certain she was leaving the city in good hands.
The Bradfords will be moving to Tempe, Ariz., next month, where they will work in a mission home for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years. After that, they plan to move to a condominium they bought recently in Provo, Utah. Bradford, 73, has lived in La Palma since 1983 and served two terms as mayor since being elected to the council in 1988.
