Sandy Hemphill will be honored with the 1999 Cypress College Americana Award later this month; the award recognizes her contributions to the community. Hemphill has been involved in numerous organizations on behalf of her employer, Sam’s Club of Stanton, both in Stanton and Westminster. It will be presented at a banquet Feb. 27.
