Cyclones Feel Ice Dogs’ Power

Sean Tallaire had two goals and an assist and Lonnie Loach had two power-play goals for the Long Beach Ice Dogs in a 6-3 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones Friday night.

The Ice Dogs (31-20-1) ended a two-game losing streak and remain in second place in the Southwest Division of the IHL’s Western Conference.

Loach, who has seven goals and an assist in his last six games, scored his second goal of the night and eventual game-winner with 2:23 left in the game.

Jeff Shevalier and Scott Morrow scored for the Cyclones (29-18-4) to cut the deficit to 4-3.

Nathan Lafayette and Tallaire finished off the scoring for Long Beach.

Mark Ferner had three assists for the Ice Dogs.
