Looking for ways to save on your electric and water bill?

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has a conservation hotline offering energy conservation tips, information about programs for low-income residential customers and details about programs for small business owners. Customers can even ask the DWP to come out and do a free energy efficiency survey on their home.

To reach the conservation hotline, call (800) 827-5397, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Information about rebates on ultra low-flush toilets and so-called resource efficient washing machines, which save both water and electricity, is available by calling the DWP’s water conservation hotline at (800) 544-4498, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays.

Additional information is available on the DWP’s Web site at www.ladwp.com on the Internet.
