Athens Is Driven to Wits’ End by Cabbies
Police in Athens have taken another step to tame the city’s notorious taxi drivers, arresting cabbies for unprofessional behavior, a private television station said. The drivers were given jail terms of up to one month but were allowed to pay fines instead. Police said more than 20 drivers have been arrested for similar reasons in the last month.
