Smoking in Bars

There’s a simple way to make bar and restaurant owners enforce the anti-smoking ordinance, and it’s by revoking the liquor licenses of those who refuse to comply. The toll-free line proposed by the L.A. City Council to report illegal smoking (Feb. 2) is just another excuse to avoid enforcing the law.
